The Bird in Hand

The Bird In Hand is a welcoming country pub with room-only accommodation situated in Lower Stondon, near Henlow, a short drive away from Knebworth House with its stately home, beautiful grounds and concerts. The pub has friendly staff, a well-stocked bar, serves food and has a garden.

There are various rooms available including budget rooms with access to a shared bathroom or those with en suite facilities. All have TV, Wifi and refreshments tray. Ample on-site parking is provided. Guests can relax with a drink from the bar and the garden has a children’s play area.

Evening meals at the pub are made from fresh ingredients, with our Sunday lunches a particular favourite with locals and visitors alike. The surrounding area has much to offer, with walking and cycling routes, as well as Henlow Stadium, a short walk away, for greyhound racing.
