Borvemor Cottages

Borvemor Cottages are a collection of holiday cottages situated in Borve, a village on the west side of the Isle of Lewis, just off the A859 road, 14 miles south of Tarbert and 6 miles north of Leverburgh. Sleeping from 2 up to 8 guests and fully-equipped for self-catering, the cottages are a perfect choice for family holidays and dogs are welcome. One of the cottages (Byre) is also disability-friendly.

Within a few minutes’ walk from an Atlantic beach, the accommodation consists of the adjoining properties of Stable Cottage and Byre Cottage, the award-winning traditional thatched blackhouse called Tigh Dubh which stands a distance away, and the recently-built Beach Studio Apartment. Please note there are TV facilities and reception in all cottages. Wifi is provided for reasonable use.

Lewis and Harris have a spectacular landscape, with peat and machair grassland, mountains and sandy beaches. Popular activities include walking, cycling and fishing and there are a number of golf courses, including the beautiful Harris Golf Course at Scarista just a short distance from Borvemor Cottages. There are places for eating out, and both Leverburgh and Tarbert have shops and amenities.
