Harbour Cottage

Harbour Cottage is a fantastic self-catering holiday home on the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides. A traditional croft house along the east coast of the island, with distant views across to the Small Isles of the Hebrides and 3 miles from the ferry terminal at Castlebay, it is a haven for walkers, kayakers, fishing and wildlife enthusiasts.

Sleeping 7 guests, the cottage is TV and Wifi-less, allowing people to ‘switch off’ from the world. The lounge has an open fire, suite and a collection of books. The kitchen is equipped and has a dining table; and there is a double, twin, family bedroom, shower room and upstairs sun room. A landline phone and storage heaters are provided.

Known for its beauty, Barra is the most southerly of the inhabited islands in the Outer Hebrides, with beaches, rolling hills, moor and grassland. Castlebay has a heritage centre, leisure centre and toffee factory with gift shop and café. Take a short boat trip to Kisimul Castle or play a round at Barra Golf Club, the most westerly UK course.
