Wheems Organic Farm

Wheems Organic Farm is a 16-acre smallholding offering a camping site, glamping and cottages. Overlooking the sea, in Eastside on South Ronaldsay, the farm is just 5 minutes’ walk or 2 minutes’ drive from beaches and surrounded by open countryside, providing an amazing setting for those exploring the Orkney Islands. St. Margaret’s Hope is 3 miles away.

The site provides hot showers, toilets, laundry facilities, a well-equipped covered kitchen and a small honesty shop selling organic farm produce when in season. The campsite is an elevated field with stone dykes and uninterrupted sea views. There are 20 pitches for tents and campervans, including some with hardstanding and electric hook-up.

For glampers, there is a Mongolian-style yurt with a hand made double bed, blankets, pillows, lamps, log stove and firewood, 2 beautiful shepherds huts with stunning sea views. The Shepherds huts and Yurt are off grid and guests share the campsite facilities. The timber camping pods sleep 2 to 4 people. In addition, Wheems Cottage sleeps 2 and Loft sleeps 4 are compact self-catering cottages for 2 guests.
