Chantry Wood campsite

On the fringes of the North Downs and Surrey Hills AONB, Chantry Wood Campsite is a wonderful place for relaxing holidays and scenic walking, with numerous footpaths running in and around the site. There are stunning views across Albury Vale and the site is only 2 miles away from the centre of Guildford.

The campsite can accommodate up to 100 tents or vehicles in a quiet and secluded setting accessed by a forest track. The facilities are basic, with chemical toilets, fresh water tap and 2 fire pits. Groups, Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions and schools are welcome to stay as long as they are supervised by a responsible adult.

The village of Chilworth is close by, with fishing ponds, pub and a railway station, and there are tea rooms at the 17th century Gunpowder Mills landmark. Guildford has many attractions and amenities including a medieval castle, heritage centre, cathedral, theatre and shopping centres. The River Wey is popular for rowing.
