Old Red Lion

Set in the north-west Norfolk village of Castle Acre, The Old Red Lion is available to holiday makers, walkers, cyclists or groups. Weekly yoga classes and yoga retreats and space available for any other retreat throughout the year. Located in a picturesque setting along Norfolk’s Nar Valley, the accommodation is also on the Peddar’s Way long-distance walk.

Private rooms have double or twin beds with and without en suite facilities, ground floor double with wet room is suitable for wheelchair users. The family room can be booked by bed or for groups of up to 6. Guests have access to the small kitchen and a self-service breakfast is provided.

There is on site parking and bike storage; the Old Red Lion is a 1 minute stroll from the (free and always open) Norman Castle and a 5 minute walk from the Cluniac priory ruins - both are English Heritage sites. The Old Red Lion is central in the medieval walled town of Castle Acre where there is a Spar shop, fish & chips, tea shop and The Ostrich pub and a childrens playground. Polite dogs welcome by arrangement. Open all year round.
