Pheasant's Roost

A small and welcoming campsite in Rutland, Pheasant’s Roost is a ‘Camping and Caravanning Club Friendly’ site, surrounded by open countryside near the village of Manton, 3 miles from Oakham and a short walk from Rutland Water. The site is ideal for relaxing breaks, walkers, cyclists and those who enjoy being on the water.

The site has 5 pitches with electric hook-up for caravans and motorhomes, plus a grass area for tents. The Bothy is the well-maintained showering and toilet block, with hot water and a washing-up sink. Guests can also meet the rare breeds of animals, as well as the peacocks, ducks and chickens that roam freely around the site.

There is an on-site farm shop and the local village pub is close by, serving a food menu. The cycle track around Rutland Water passes our farm gate. Nearby Oakham is a traditional market town with plenty of amenities and attractions, including a castle and museum. Wednesday and Saturday are the market days.
