The Lake Isle

The Lake Isle is an AA 4-Star rated restaurant with rooms situated in an historic mid-17th century building, in Uppingham, in the heart of Rutland. Visitors will find AA 2-Rosette awarded food and can eat in the award-winning restaurant, stunning private dining room, cosy snug area or covered courtyard. The Lake Isle also offers 12 beautiful contemporary guest bedrooms.

The stylishly furnished bedrooms comprise double size, twin-bedded and a family room for 4 guests. Cosy Rooms feature en suite shower facilities; Whirlpool Rooms have a sofa and spa bath en suite; and Cottage Rooms benefit from a lounge area and large en suite with a spa bath and separate shower. All are equipped with an LED TV, telephone, free Wifi and hospitality tray.

Overnight guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast, with menu options such as a Traditional English, Salmon and Smoked Haddock Fishcakes, Grilled Scottish Kipper, Cheddar Cheese Omelette and more. Dinner, bed and breakfast rates are also available. The restaurant is open at lunchtime, for afternoon tea and in the evening. The extensive cellar is stocked with over 200 wines, providing the perfect accompaniment.
