The Patch

The Patch is a holiday home overlooking a lake on the edge of The Wash on the Norfolk Coast, near the village of Snettisham. The cottage has incorporated a Victorian railway carriage into its structure to provide a unique and comfortable self-catering holiday home from 1 to 8 people, plus accompanying dogs by prior arrangement and travel cot available and other baby gear if required.

The sitting room has a wood burning stove, sofa, armchairs, TV, telephone and dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, including a double oven, microwave, slow cooker and table, sorry no dish washer. There are 4 bedrooms including a downstairs twin and bunk bedded room in the old railway carriage, plus a double and a single / twin room upstairs. There is also a family shower room in the railway carriage.

Wifi is available and there is a washing machine located in an outbuilding. Guests will find private parking for 2 or 3 cars and a garage with bikes, where you can also store outdoors equipment. The private garden includes a barbeque, table and chairs. The Patch is only a few minutes’ walk from a quiet and dog-friendly beach.

There is a well-stocked general store, a fish and chip shop seasonal opening hours, plus a bar / café within a short distance. Snettisham village is just 2 miles away and offers a small supermarket, chemist, hairdresser, art gallery, second-hand book shop, vet, pubs and restaurant. Hunstanton is 6 miles away for further amenities.
