The Old Post Office

The Old Post Office is a delightful cottage overlooking the green and saltmarshes in the village of Salthouse on the Norfolk coast. This former post office has now been refurbished into the village stores and a self-catering home for 6 people. An ideal holiday base, the cottage is only 3 miles from the town of Holt and within easy reach by car of Cromer, King’s Lynn, Norwich and Great Yarmouth.

Downstairs is an open plan living room with modern electric fire, leather sofas, television, dining table, equipped kitchenette, plus a double bedroom with en suite facilities. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, both with their own en suite facilities. One can be arranged with a king size bed or 2 singles and the other room is a double. Wifi is available throughout. Off-road parking is also provided.

The village stores sells a variety of everyday essentials and local produce including locally-reared beef, crafts and souvenirs. Salthouse has a shingle beach popular for walking and fishing. The Salthouse Sculpture Trail is a popular 10-mile walk. The nature reserves along the marshes are teeming with wildlife and there are local boat tours to observe the grey seal colony along Blakeney Point.
