The Chequers Inn

The Chequers Inn is located in the small coastal village of Thornham, just beyond Old Hunstanton. Dating from the 16th century, this characterful inn featuring a large fireplace, exposed wooden beams and lintels, has been extensively refurbished to offer a selection of boutique-style guest bedrooms, a well-stocked bar serving local drinks and a contemporary restaurant.

Each bedroom is full of charm, with original architectural features and beautiful décor. All have en suite facilities, luxury toiletries, a double or king size bed, Smart TV, Wifi, DAB radio with Bluetooth and a hospitality tray with cafetiere. The Best Rooms also have an in-room freestanding bathtub. Folding beds and cots can be provided and there are dog-friendly rooms available.

The bar is stocked with a variety of drinks that can be enjoyed inside or outside. The newly refurbished bistro-style restaurant is open for breakfast, then from lunch until late, serving a range of fresh contemporary dishes that can be eaten inside or al fresco all year around. Ample car parking is available and walkers and cyclists following the Norfolk Coast Path are very welcome.
