Sleningford Watermill Caravan & Camping Park

Welcome to Sleningford Watermill Caravan and Camping Park, which is nestled along the banks of the River Ure, in the North Yorkshire village of North Stainley, near Ripon. AA 4-Pennant rated and with a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for our reviews, this park with excellent facilities is situated on the grounds of a 18th century water mill where guests can enjoy canoeing and fishing along the river.

The whole site spans 14 acres and is divided into 4 sections. The Island features grass pitches with and without electricity and water on both sides; whereas The Riverside has a mixture of hardstanding and grass looking across to the mill house. The Driveway and The Millfield are reserved for seasonal pitches. Guests also have the option of hiring the self-catering flat for 4 directly over the waterwheel.

Facilities include 2 shower and toilet blocks with disabled access, a laundry room and shop selling a range of camping and everyday essentials. Dogs are allowed in certain areas of the site. Fishing is available along the riverbank and guests can bring their own canoes and kayaks to paddle up the river. The Ripon Rowel long distance path runs directly through the park for those arriving on foot.
