Hetherick Caravan Park

Hetherick Caravan Park is a family-owned site offering touring / camping facilities and a self-catering holiday lodge in a quiet and scenic setting, surrounded by open countryside and woodland, with a stream and small lake. Located just 3 miles north of the bustling Durham market town of Barnard Castle, it is ideal for exploring Teesdale, the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The site has 2 areas. The first accommodates touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, served by a amenities block offering hot showers and toilets with disabled facilities, plus a laundry and dishwashing area. The other area houses privately-owned statics and the self-catering lodge. Sleeping 5 people in 3 bedrooms, including a master bedroom with en suite, it has an open plan lounge / diner, equipped kitchen, bathroom and private parking. Dogs are welcome.

Hetherick Caravan Park is ideally situated for all the attractions of Teesdale and is easily accessible to all the major roads. The area boasts miles of unspoilt countryside and is a walker's paradise. Barnard Castle is a market town on the banks of the River Tees providing a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Popular local attractions include High Force, Cauldron Snout, Gibson's Cave and Raby Castle just outside Staindrop. Small animal farm to include Alpacas, Pygmy Goats, Shetland Ponies, Kune Kune Pigs, various Sheep, Chickens, Geese and Ducks.
