Barfad Farmlands

Set amongst 100 acres of open farmland and countryside along the coastline of Loch Fyne, Barfad Cottages are 2 beautifully renovated self-catering dog-friendly cottages with parking, just outside Tarbert on the Kintyre Peninsula. Just a 2-minute drive or a 15-minute walk through beautiful woodlands, the fishing village of Tarbert has a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, cafés and a pretty harbour.

The Chicken Coop is a cosy cottage for 2 people, featuring an open plan living area, double bedroom and shower room. The Dairy can sleep 4 and has an open plan living room, a family bedroom with a double and a single bed, a single room, shower room and separate WC. Both cottages are equipped with free Wifi, a TV / DVD player and have an equipped kitchen. There is heating throughout and a shared laundry room. Travel cots can be provided.

Tarbert is renowned for its castle, associated with Robert the Bruce, that overlooks the harbour. The castle location provides an excellent picnic spot close to the village and there are lovely walks further up the hillside, including the first section of the Kintyre Way. Tarbert is also known for its fresh seafood. At the very north tip of Kintyre, it gives you superb access to all the ferry points across the peninsula, which travel to Gigha, Arran, Islay and Portavadie.
