The Barriemore

The Barriemore is a charming Victorian townhouse situated along Oban’s seafront. Originally built as a private residence by John S. McCraig, who also built the famous McCraig’s Tower in the town, this welcoming guest house is Visit Scotland 4-Star rated and offers scenic views across the shipping lanes over to the Isle of Kerrera.

Each guest bedroom is furnished in an individual style, with en suite facilities, Scottish toiletries, TV, free Wifi, USB charging point and a well-stocked beverage tray. There are double, twin, family rooms or the beautiful suites on the ground floor with king size beds. Some bedrooms have sea views. Continental breakfast hampers can be arranged with prior notice. Parking is available and there are regular bus services that stop outside.

Oban is a favourite holiday destination, providing attractions including a whisky distillery, museum, independent shops, cafés, pubs and great local seafood in the restaurants. Sea sports, including kayaking, scuba-diving, wildlife-watching and fishing are popular. The main ferries to the islands from Oban are to Lismore, Mull, Colonsay, Coll, Tiree and Barra.
