Hillsdale in Ambleside is a traditional Lakeland slate townhouse in a quiet location just a short walk from the main attractions in the town, including an eclectic mix of eateries, restaurants, wine bars, cafes and hostelries, five cinema screens and of course, plenty of opportunities for a bit of retail therapy too!

Ambleside has on its doorstep some of the most popular walking routes in Britain, and we are but a fifteen minute stroll from the northern edge of Lake Windermere which offers water leisure activities and lake cruises throughout the year.

Each of our eight individually styled, en-suite rooms with double or king bed are beautifully furnished and have all that you could require for a wonderful stay with us. We use crisp, high thread count white satin striped bed linen, luxury toiletries and fresh white towelling bath sheets.
