North Lodge Cottage is a traditional stone house nestled along the riverbanks in Ford, a small village at the southern end of Loch Awe, 2.5 miles from Kilmartin, off the Lochgilphead to Oban road. This former lodge is situated at the entrance of the Ederline Estate and is ideally placed for relaxing holidays and a range of exciting outdoors pursuits.

Sleeping 2 guests, the cottage provides a sitting room with a wood burning stove in the original stone fireplace, comfy armchairs, Sky TV and a CD player. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a washing machine, dishwasher and dining area. There is also a double bedroom and bathroom. Wifi is available. Outside is a covered wood store, lockable shed and parking space.

The garden has a picnic table and benches overlooking the stream, plus a summer house. Fishing from our river bank is allowed. Loch Awe is the longest freshwater loch in Scotland and contains several ruined castles on islands, including Kilchurn Castle, which in summer, may be visited by a short boat trip or by a half mile walk from a small car park. Nor suitable for children because of the stream and there are 3 steps in to the kitchen so may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.
