The Galley of Lorne

The Galley of Lorne Inn provides a welcoming place to stay in the pretty village of Ardfern in Argyll and Bute, on the south coast of the Craignish Peninsula, facing Loch Craignish itself. This 17th century former drovers’ inn has boutique-style guest suites, a fine restaurant, plenty of free parking and stunning views of the sea loch. Families and guests with disabilities are welcome, and dogs are also allowed.

There are 6 contemporary suites to choose from, each spacious and stylish, featuring en suite facilities, Smart TV, Wifi, Amazon Echo, mood lighting and a hospitality tray. There are double, twin, and family rooms, with the Skye Suite particularly popular with honeymooners and for special occasions, with its stunning views across the loch to the Isle of Jura. Uist Suite is suitable for guests with disabilities.

After a superb night’s sleep, guests will find a breakfast menu with a help-yourself buffet, followed by a cooked option comprising The Highlander (a full Scottish), Mariners Eggs (smoked salmon with scrambled eggs), Smoke on The Water (fish), Born free (veggie) and Simply Eggs. The restaurant is open throughout the day and the bar is stocked with a wide variety of drinks from real ales to local malt whiskies.
