Carna House and Cottage

Off Grid Carna Island, Loch Sunart, a Scottish Highlands sea loch. Situated in an idyllic position at the entrance to remote Loch Teacuis. Carna is a remote but accessible wildlife haven and Conservation island. At just 600 acres, with only 3 houses including the self-catering holiday homes of Carna House and Carna Cottage, it provides a truly secluded and peaceful location for switching off from the outside world, Perfect for wildlife watching, fishing, wild swimming, diving, snorkeling, exploring in the island boats . Carna House is a 1930s home sleeping 8 guests. It has 4 bedrooms, including a double, 2 twin rooms and a small room with bunk beds. The house provides a sitting room with a log burning stove, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and 2 WCs.

Carna Cottage is a warm and cosy former renovated Black House on the edge of the shore with amazing views of the loch, hills and wildlife. Sleeping 4 to 6, it has 2 bedrooms including a king and a twin, plus a sofa bed and Smart TV in the lounge, a kitchen / diner, conservatory and bathroom with luxurious underfloor heating.

Both cottages are dog-friendly, electricity is derived from solar panels on the island. There is a boat for each property, moored on our private pontoon, with tuition and safety equipment and instruction provided on arrival.
