Delgatie Castle Apartments

Delgatie Castle Apartments are a collection of self-catering suites and holiday home apartments situated in the castle itself and within the grounds of this grand 11th century fortress, near the Aberdeenshire town of Turriff. Steeped in history and visited by many famous names from history, including Mary Queen of Scots in 1562, visitors can also tour the castle, enjoy the Laird's Kitchen Tea Rooms, explore the grounds or go fly fishing at the fisheries.

Situated in the castle, there are 2 elegant suites with great character, featuring contemporary amenities. Symbister Suite accommodates 5 people, with a spacious master bedroom as well as a twin bedroom and a single room. Hayfield Suite accommodates up to 6 people. The master bedroom is spacious and there is another double room and a twin bedroom. Both suites are fully-equipped for self-catering holidays.

The 4 equipped apartments have been converted from the former coach house on the edge of the estate. Ashwood and Cedarwood are duplex, sleeping 4 in a double and twin room. Beechwood is also on 2 levels and can sleep 6 in 2 double and 2 single bedrooms. Elmwood, sleeping 7 people, is suitable for disabled guests, featuring a double bedroom with a shower room downstairs and a double, twin and single room upstairs.

The castle provides an ideal touring base for visiting famous areas of the Highlands, including Speyside, the Cairngorms, Balmoral Castle, Braemar and Aboyne. The historic site of the Battle of Culloden is an hour-and-a-half drive away. Delgatie is also within easy reach of many beaches and whisky distilleries. There is an excellent local golf course and numerous rivers nearby that offer salmon and trout fishing.
