Balneden Steading

Balneden Steading offers 3 Visit Scotland 4-Star rated self-catering holiday cottages commanding panoramic views across the hills and valleys of the picturesque Glenlivet Estate in the Cairngorms National Park. The steading is located just off the Snow Roads Scenic Route, 3 miles north of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands. Walkers, cyclists, skiers and dogs are all welcome!

The Mill and The Grain Store both accommodate 4 guests and feature a double and twin bedroom, whilst the Cattle Shed sleeps 2 guests in a double bedroom. All 3 cottages have a spacious living area with Freesat TV, log burning stove, dining table, fully-equipped modern kitchenette and modern bath / shower room. There is underfloor heating and Wifi throughout, with private seating outside.

The Grain Store and The Cattle Shed have an accessible wet room for disabled guests and The Mill has a larger dining table seating up to 8 guests if multiple cottages are to be booked together. Eco-friendly products are used and provided throughout the cottages and water is piped from a protected hillside spring about half a mile away. There is parking for all and an EV charging point.
