Blackthorn

Blackthorn is a luxurious modern chalet surrounded by the stunning countryside of Royal Deeside, near the village of Kincardine O’Neil. Situated between Aboyne and Banchory and close to the famous River Dee, this accommodation provides guests with a quiet and scenic base for family holidays, walking or fishing retreats. Sleeping 5, families with children are welcome.

The chalet contains a light and airy living room with dual-aspect windows offering panoramic views across the surrounding countryside, as well as a wood burning stove, suite, TV and a kitchen area with a dining table. There is also a master king size bedroom, a twin room with an additional folding bed and a snug area in the gallery above the living room which can be used as a quiet area or playroom. There is also a wet room.

Central heating is derived from a biomass boiler and there is Wifi. The chalet is mainly on ground floor level, making it suitable for the elderly or guests with some mobility issues. The south-facing decking area is ideal for barbeques and outside dining. Kincardine O’Neil is 1.5 miles away and has a Post Office, general store, petrol station and coffee shop. Banchory and Aboyne are 7 miles to the east and west respectively.
