The Old Farmhouse

A warm welcome awaits you at The Old Farmhouse, offering 4 star, highly commended accommodation, and an excellent base from which to explore all that the Regency town of Sidmouth and surrounding area has to offer. Dating back to the Sixteenth Century, this delightful thatched farmhouse and its adjoining cottage, have been updated to include all modern amenities and comforts whilst still retaining the original charm and character.

Each of our bedrooms are individually furnished but all share features such as crooked beams and curtained alcoves. The en-suite bedrooms have either a bath or shower, TV, and offer tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of lemongrass and bergamot toiletries. After a restful sleep a delicious breakfast will be served in our intimate dining room, with its inglenook fireplace and original beams. We also offer a dinner menu. We have a guests lounge where you can relax after a day of sightseeing.

With so much to see and do in the area you will be spoilt for choice, Sidmouth offers a great range of independent shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, whilst heading westwards along the seafront, takes you directly up to Jacobs ladder and to Connaught Gardens. On Salcombe Hill take in the views over Sidmouth and as far away as Portland Bill in Dorset, there is superb coastal scenery and glorious beaches. There really is something for everyone here!
