Tufton Arms Hotel

Located in the centre of the historic town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, The Tufton Arms Hotel offers a warm welcome, excellent dining in our restaurant and a wine shop. Our luxury guest rooms use inspiration from the Grade II listed Victorian architecture of the building, designed in a rich classic luxury style, whilst providing contemporary amenities such as Wifi and en suite bathrooms featuring luxurious Molton Brown toiletries.

The Conservatory Restaurant offers elegant surroundings and a superb à la carte menu, using the best of fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced produce, including Fleetwood fresh fish. Award-winning Head Chef David Milsom has created a range of delectable dishes, complimented by a superb wine list. There are options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. A traditional Sunday lunch includes tender local pork.

The area is a haven for all outdoors enthusiasts and the hotel can offer fly fishing for trout and salmon on the River Eden. The surrounding Eden Valley is also blessed with High Cup Nick, the ‘Grand Canyon of the Pennines’, a glorious landscape feature. There are a host of places to visit in and around the Eden Valley and Appleby provides a gateway to the wonderful North Pennines and Lake District National Park.
