The Old Stables Bed & Breakfast

The Old Stables Bed and Breakfast is an award-winning dog-friendly establishment situated on the edge of the Mendip Hills at Chelynch, near Shepton Mallet. A beautifully-renovated Grade II listed barn dating back to the 1600s, it provides a comfortable place to stay for walkers, cyclists or tourists exploring this scenic area.

The 3 guest rooms are full of charming features which make them unique. The Garden Room is on the ground floor and has a double bed, en suite shower room and French doors opening onto the garden whereas The Granary is in the converted attic with a vaulted beamed ceiling, seating area, en suite bathroom and super king bed. The Hayloft still has the original winch on the ceiling that was used to hoist the hay bales. It has a super king size bed, seating area and en suite shower room. All bedrooms are equipped with complimentary toiletries, TV, well-stocked beverage tray and a silent mini fridge. A full English breakfast is served in the morning, with our own homemade preserves and granola also available.
