The Ship Inn

The Ship Inn is a thatched 13th century former coaching inn situated in the High Street of the Exmoor village of Porlock. With bed and breakfast accommodation, a bar, great food and large outdoor seating area, the inn is a popular place to stay with holidaymakers, families, walkers and cyclists alike. Dogs are welcome. There is free car parking and the South West Coast Path is less than a mile away.

There are 5 bedrooms; either double, twin or family size. All have attractive décor and are equipped with central heating, en suite facilities, TV and refreshment tray. Special rates for multiple night stays are available. Guests can enjoy home-made breakfasts, lunches, evening meals and Sunday lunches are also available, served in the restaurant or outside in the garden. There are also children’s options and a play area for the younger guests.

The Ship Inn is located at the foot of Porlock Hill. A short stroll will take you into the centre of the village where there are a wide range of shops, including a visitor centre, post office, supermarkets, plus a number of antique and gift shops. Exmoor National Park is known for its native wild ponies and red deer. It is very popular for those interested in a range of outdoors pursuits.
