The Drake

Nicki and Augustis welcome you to The Drake, which is a Grade II listed bed and breakfast in a great Plymouth location, just 2 minutes from the Hoe, 10 minutes from the city centre and a short drive from the ferry terminals. Dating from the 1800s, this building was formerly the residence of a Naval Officer, and offers bright, spacious accommodation with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We have a licensed bar, and have the benefit of on-site parking for guests.

Our 11 bedrooms are well-appointed and resourced with Freeview TV, Wifi, hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served in our pretty dining room with the original ornate ceiling in situ. We offer a wide choice of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juices and a Full English Breakfast or alternatives, including vegetarian options. All of our food is freshly cooked-to-order, and we are always happy to help with special dietary requirements.

The Drake is a short walking distance from the sea. Plymouth Hoe provides stunning views across Plymouth Sound where you can see Smeatons Tower lighthouse and the Art Deco Tinside Lido pool. Admire the statue of local hero Sir Francis Drake and visit The Royal Citadel. Plymouth is fantastic for shopping or why not visit Plymouth Gin Distillery, the National Marine Aquarium, the Mayflower Steps or the Sutton Harbour Heritage Trail. It is a superb base to explore this area of England.
