Happy Union

Happy Union is a beautifully-converted timber barn situated in the historic village of Abbey Cwmhir, 8 miles north of Llandrindod Wells. Surrounded by scenic views across the Powys countryside and situated along Glyndŵr's Way National Trail, it provides the perfect self-catering holiday home for those who enjoy walking, cycling and the outdoors.

The barn sleeps up to 5 people. The light and airy open plan living area has a feature high vaulted ceiling and is equipped with a leather L-shaped sofa, Smart TV, fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer / dryer, integrated cooker and dining table. There is a double bedroom and a triple bedroom, both with en suite facilities; plus, central heating and Wifi.

Outside, there is a lawn area, patio with table and chairs, plus secure driveway parking. The Happy Union Inn is just next door to the barn serving a selection of drinks. The Grade II listed pub is combined with the village shop and post office. The village is named after Cwmhir Abbey, the Cistercian Abbey built there in 1143. It was the largest Abbey in Wales but was never completed.
