Horse and Jockey Inn

The Horse and Jockey Inn in Knighton is a welcoming place to stay for a range of travellers, from walkers following Offa’s Dyke Path or holidaymakers visiting Powys and the Shropshire Hills AONB. This 14th century former coaching inn has TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awarded B & B rooms, an excellent restaurant and friendly bar.

All 8 bedrooms are on the top floor of the inn looking out to the enclosed courtyard below, with many featuring exposed stone walls and ceiling trusses. All but one of the rooms can be arranged as a super king or with twin beds. The Tollant is a superior room in the former hayloft, providing a romantic space for 2, with a king size sleigh bed. All rooms have en suite facilities, TV, free Wifi and a hospitality tray. Dogs are also allowed with prior agreement. A complimentary breakfast is served in the morning to ensure a good start to the day. The restaurant has been converted from the former stables and is open for home cooked meals. The bar has Sky Sports and a pool table.
