The Old School House

The Old School House is a charming self-catering holiday cottage situated in the village of Carlecotes, at the northern edge of the Peak District National Park, about 4 miles west from Penistone and just over 1 mile north from the A628 road. On the edge of the Pennines, the house is easily located off the Trans-Pennine Trail.

Sleeping 3,the cottage is full of its original character. The sitting room has beamed ceilings, a wood burning stove in the stone fireplace, sofas, TV and dual-aspect windows flooding the room with natural light. There is also a kitchen with a dining table / chairs, a double bedroom, single room and bathroom, plus Wifi throughout.

There is private car parking and secure storage for bicycles, motorbikes and other equipment. A footpath leads from the cottage down to the trail and pick-ups from the local railway station can be arranged if required. Dogs are allowed at the cottage with prior agreement. A welcome pack of locally-produced dairy is provided.
