Mellwaters Barn Cottages are 4 beautiful stone cottages offering accessible self-catering accommodation in the village of Bowes. In a quiet rural setting in the North Pennines along the banks of the River Greta, they are also on the route of the Bowes Loop along the Pennine Way. All cottages have been specially adapted to cater for the elderly, guests with disabilities and wheelchair users. Robin Cottage is a cosy cottage for 2 with a spacious double bedroom upstirs; Blue Tit Cottage can sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms; Wren is all on ground floor level sleeping 2 people in an en suite bedroom and Kingfisher Cottage is a spacious home for 4 with 2 double bedrooms and a dining area for 6 people.

All cottages have fully-equipped kitchens, adapted bathrooms or walk-in wet rooms, profiling beds in the bedroom which can be arranged as a twin or double, free Wifi access and either stair lifts or through lifts between floors.
