Finchale Abbey Caravan Park

Finchale Abbey Caravan Park is a Visit England 4-Star Gold Award family-run dog-friendly touring site for adults, 4 miles from Durham. Established in the 1950s on a dairy farm within a meander of the River Wear, the site is nestled in a unique setting, beside the ruins of an old Benedictine Priory. There is a Farm Shop and Café and fishing available on a 2-mile stretch of the river.

The park is open all year and booking is essential. Our touring site can accommodate motor homes, campervans, touring caravans and trailer tents, with a choice of hardstanding and grass pitches, most of which have electric hook-ups. There are also the timber glamping pods for 2 people, with lighting, heating and electricity. There is a designated dogwalking area near the orchard.
