Wheelwrights Cottage is an 18th century former barn, beautifully and sensitively updated to provide self-catering accommodation for 2 people. This former wheelwright’s workshop is nestled in the grounds of a 16th century thatched cottage in a rural hamlet, just a mile from the village of Kersey.
Inside the cottage is a spacious lounge with a wood burning stove, fully-equipped kitchen with a cooker, dishwasher and washing machine; plus a double bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub and shower. Outside, there is a private patio area which may be visited by the free roaming chickens and ducks!
A 20-minute walk away, The Bell Inn is a family-run 14th century pub in Kersey. The village also has a picturesque main street with medieval timber-framed houses and a ford known as ‘The Splash’. The cottage is located halfway between the towns of Sudbury and Ipswich, and the area is perfect for walking and cycling.
