The George Inn

Welcome to The George Inn, established since the 14th century and offering accommodation, great food and a wide range of drinks, in the village of Alfriston within the South Downs National Park. With its characteristic black and white half-timber exterior, original oak beams and open fire, the inn provides a warm and welcoming ambience.

There are 4 double rooms and a spacious suite with a double sleigh bed and 2 camp beds for accompanying children if required. All 5 guest bedrooms are unique and have benefitted from a recent refurbishment to provide amenities including en suite facilities, air cooling system, a TV and beverage tray, whilst retaining characterful original features.

A hearty English breakfast is included and picnic hampers can be provided for the day ahead. Extras including breakfast-in-bed, champagne or flowers can be arranged for guests with prior notice. Visitors can also enjoy a candlelit supper in the restaurant or enjoy a meal and a pint in the more informal bar setting or out on the terrace in fine weather.
