The Powder Mills

The Powder Mills Hotel and Restaurant is a Grade II listed Georgian house, surrounded by 150 acres of grounds with a large lake, within walking distance of the historic town of Battle, the abbey and the battlefields of 1066. As well as elegant bedrooms, guests can also enjoy excellent food in the AA 2-Rosette awarded restaurant, bespoke in-room beauty treatments and coarse fishing on the lake.

Located in either the main house or converted pavilion, all bedrooms are elegantly furnished and beautifully presented. There are 49 bedrooms including 6 Junior Suites, in keeping with the style of the house, including many with 4-poster beds. All rooms have en suite facilities, a TV, Wifi, ironing equipment and a hospitality tray. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The Orangery Restaurant offers a range of award-winning dishes throughout the day, including sharing platters, afternoon tea, main meals and Sunday lunch. Sample menus are available to view on our website. There is ample on-site car parking and guests are more than welcome to explore the grounds. Weddings, conferences and special events can also be accommodated.
