Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a former 17th century country inn which has been renovated to offer a comfortable self-catering holiday home located in the pretty village of Alciston, between Lewes and Polegate. Nestled in the wonderful South Downs, the house is surrounded by open countryside, with lovely walks on the doorstep.

The accommodation consists of a living room with long sofa, TV, dining table and a kitchenette with cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a double en suite bedroom. A seating area outside in the garden offers scenic and relaxing views across the Downs. Dogs are welcome with prior notice. Wifi is available.

Guests will find 2 pubs close by which serve food, with a greater selection of pubs, restaurants and shops in the nearby towns. The seaside at Seaford is a short drive away. There are many places to visit in the local area including Drusilla’s Wildlife Park, Mitchelham Priory and the Glyndebourne Opera House.
