George Borrow Hotel

The George Borrow Hotel is set within the Cambrian Mountains, on the edge of the Rheidol Gorge, only 20 minutes’ drive away from Aberystwyth and the Cardigan Bay coastline. An independently-owned hotel dating back to the 17th century, guests will find friendly staff, comfortable B & B rooms, great food and 2 bars.

This hotel is happy to welcome all outdoors enthusiasts and groups, with drying facilities and packed lunches available. There are single, double, twin and family size bedrooms, some of which offer mountain views. All have en suite shower facilities, a TV, DVD player, access to Wifi, hairdryer and a hospitality tray.

Our restaurant has a 5 Star food hygiene rating and is open for breakfast and main meals, with a carvery for Sunday lunch. The majority of food is homemade, using the best of local Welsh produce where possible. The bars stock a range of drinks, including real ales that can be enjoyed inside or in the garden. There is free parking and secure lock-up for motorcycles and bicycles. 10 minutes from Devil's Bridge Falls and from Nant y Arian mountain biking.
