Welcome to Park House Campsite, a small and friendly site situated in Monsal Head, 2 miles outside of Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Close to the Headstone Tunnel on the Monsal Trail, it is the perfect stopover for walkers and cyclists, or those looking for a quiet rural holiday location.
Tents, motorhomes and campervans can be accommodated, with electric hook-ups provided if required. There are toilets, hot showers and a pot washing area in the well-maintained utilities block. Visitors will find 2 pubs within walking distance of the campsite; The Stables is approximately 5 minutes and The Packhorse Inn is 10 minutes’ walk.
Buses to Bakewell and Castleton are available close to the site. There are lots of walking and cycling routes, with Monsal Dale and the Wye River close by for stunning views and fishing. Attractions including Thornbridge Hall and Gardens, Deep Dale Nature Reserve, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are within driving distance.
