Fieldhead Campsite

Fieldhead Campsite is situated in the village of Edale within High Peak in the centre of the Peak District National Park, at the start / end of the Pennine Way, the UK's first and most famous long distance walking path. This site provides the ideal base for walkers and those interested in a range of outdoors pursuits. Family-friendly, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions are also welcome.

Catering for tents and small campervans only, the whole site is divided into separate fields including those along the river, ones for families near the car parking area and there is a designated backpacking field. Dogs are allowed. There are male and female designated toilets and showering block facilities, including amenities for disabled guests; plus, a dishwashing area, and a drying room.

Edale Visitors Centre is on-site and Edale Railway Station is 5 minutes’ walk away, with direct train services to Manchester or Sheffield. The village also hosts lanes of pretty stone cottages. There are cafés, as well as 2 pubs serving food and local ales just a short walk away.
