Side Farm Campsite

Side Farm Campsite offers a glorious location in Patterdale, on the southern tip of Ullswater, in the Lake District National Park. Nestled in the foothills of Place Fell, with breath-taking views across the lake and mountain peaks, it is perfectly placed for short breaks and holidays. Please note, we do not accept advance bookings.

A quiet, basic, simple site for tents and day vans are welcome, (no groups unless pre-agreed). The site has male and female shower and toilet facilities, a washing up area and a laundry room. There is a pub is half a mile away.

Ullswater offers a host of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, swimming and rowing. There is also a regular launch service between Pooley Bridge, Howtown and Glenridding. Patterdale is popular with walkers, with such well known fells as St Sunday Crag, Fairfield and High Street located close by. Helvellyn is within striking distance, as well as the neighbouring valleys containing Thirlmere and Windermere.
