A touring park exclusively for adults in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, Larches Caravan Park is located in the village of Mealsgate, near to the Lake District National Park and Solway Coast. With scenic views across Skiddaw and the northern fells, it is perfectly placed for outdoors activities and exploring the many attractions of the area.
Tents, motorhomes and touring caravans are welcome, with electric-only or fully-serviced pitches available. The amenities block has individual cubicles equipped with a WC, wash basin and shower, plus there are disabled facilities. There is also a launderette, chemical waste disposal point, campers’ kitchen and washing up area. The on-site shop sells everyday essentials and camping equipment, with gas exchange.
Mealsgate is situated on the old Roman Road between Carlisle and the Roman fort of Derventio at Papcastle. This road is now known as the A595. The village is situated 5 miles from the market town of Wigton, which has restaurants, shops, pubs, a swimming pool, museum and railway station, and is 16 miles from Carlisle, 15 miles from Keswick and 10 miles from Cockermouth.
