Unique Retreats offer 5 luxurious holiday cottages nestled within the beautiful Esk Valley in Sleights. Also located in the North York Moors National Park, just 5 miles outside of Whitby, these cottages are Visit England 5-Star Gold Award rated and provide a relaxing retreat for couples, families or group holidays. Owners Joe and Geoff offer a warm welcome.

The Piggery, Cowslip Cottage, Ewelands House, Cowslip Retreat and Ewelands Retreat sleep from 2 up to 6 guests and offer their own individuality and luxury furnishings. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome in all. Each cottage has excellent facilities including a Smart TV, access to Wifi, private parking with an EV charging point and bicycle storage. The Retreats can be interlinked with Cowslip Cottage and Ewelands House for larger groups.

Surrounded by open fields with wonderful uninterrupted views of the moors and the Esk Valley, our cottages and retreats enjoy an elevated position on the edge of Sleights which has a fish restaurant, 2 pubs, a bakery, butchers and deli, Post Office and local convenience store. The surrounding area is famous for its walking and cycling routes, horse riding and fly fishing on the River Esk.
