The Royal George

The Royal George is a traditional pub with bed and breakfast rooms along a cobbled street in the old fishing village of Staithes, with the Cleveland Way passing the front door. Set on the coast and within the North York Moors National Park, the pub provides a perfect location for a stopover, short break or holiday.

There is a double room with private bathroom and 2 recently-refurbished rooms with a king size double bed and en suite facilities. All 3 of the bedrooms have free Wifi, a television and beverage tray, with a complimentary full English breakfast served in the morning. Room-only rates are available if preferred.

The pub and dining room are open to all, with an enclosed beer garden at the rear. All food served is made from locally-sourced ingredients where possible, with our seafood caught in nearby waters. There are options for vegetarian and gluten-free diets. Live entertainment is provided throughout the week and guests can watch live sports on the big TVs.
