The Golden Lion

The Golden Lion Inn is an 18th Century stone inn overlooking the market cross in the traditional Yorkshire village of Osmotherley, ‘Gateway to the North York Moors National Park’. The Inn is conveniently situated for those travelling on the Cleveland Way, Lyke Wake Walk or Coast to Coast (C2C) Route. There is secure storage for bicycles. The 7 double bedrooms are fresh and modern, with oak doors and skirting as well as handmade oak wardrobes. Each bedroom is light and airy, with walk-in en suite showers, luxury Arran Aromatic toiletries, a TV and hospitality tray for making in-room tea and coffee. There is a ground floor room with improved accessibility for wheelchair users. A delicious cooked Yorkshire breakfast is included in your stay.

The Inn offers a menu of home-cooked dishes, with British and Continental inspiration. Special diets are happily accommodated. The beamed bar provides a comfortable place to relax, with whitewashed stone walls and cushioned benches on the old pews. We stock a range of finest real ales, over 15 gins and over 45 malt whiskies. There is also outdoor seating and on-street parking at the front.
