The Old Forge Holiday Cottage

The Old Forge Holiday Cottage is a beautiful 19th century era property offering self-catering accommodation in the village of Great Ayton. Nestled at the northern tip of the North York Moors alongside the River Leven, it is ideally located for walkers, cyclists or anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Accommodating up to 10 guests, it provides a memorable holiday home for families or friends.

The lounge has retained its wooden beams and open fire, and is equipped with reclining leather sofas, a bed settee, TV / DVD player and French doors leading to the garden. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, breakfast bar and large dining table. There are 4 bedrooms including 2 doubles, a twin and a room with bunk beds, plus a family bathroom and shower room.

Gas central heating and Wifi is available throughout the cottage and there is a telephone that accepts incoming calls only. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with seating area next to the river, a barbeque and off-road car parking. There are shops, a pub and a restaurant just around the corner and guests can also visit the Captain Cook Museum
