Lydford Country House

Welcome to Lydford Country House, a 19th century manor house situated on the fringes of Dartmoor National Park, near Okehampton. A well-established hotel offering considerable charm and character, it has been tastefully updated and provides a host of contemporary comforts for a relaxing and well-deserved holiday break.

Our beautiful guest rooms are named after Dartmoor’s famous granite tors and benefit from their own en suite facilities, a TV, hairdryer and hospitality tray for making hot drinks. There are twin, double, 4-poster rooms and family rooms. Ground floor rooms are also available. There is free access to Wifi in some rooms. Well-behaved pets are welcome.

In the morning, a cooked English, vegetarian or continental-style breakfast is served, with options for vegan and gluten-free diets. A Devonshire cream tea or afternoon tea is available, served in the attractive lounge or dining room. Lydford Country House is also a popular venue for weddings and special events, with marquee hire available if required.
