Hillside House

Hillside House is a charming Grade II listed B & B situated in Lynmouth. Steeped in history and full of interesting quirks, with parts of the building dating back to the 1400s, it has formerly been a sea merchant’s residence and dairy. Guests can now enjoy welcoming hospitality and comfortable accommodation.

The bedrooms are furnished with a mix of classic and contemporary, with either their own en suite facilities or a private bathroom. Equipped with a TV, free Wifi, hairdryer and beverage tray, there are single, double, twin-bedded and rooms with river views available. Dogs are allowed with prior agreement. After a good night’s sleep, guests can enjoy a freshly cooked full English, vegetarian or lighter breakfast option in the morning.

Lynmouth is located on the western edge of Exmoor, surrounded by cliffs and with a beautiful harbour and beach. The Tarka Trail and South West Coast Path run through it, and the Two Moors Way and Coleridge Way terminate here. There are pubs, tea rooms and gift shops in the village. Just inland is Watersmeet, where the National Trust runs a visitor centre and cafe.
