The Red Lion

The Red Lion is a friendly inn dating from the 18th century, conveniently situated along the quayside in the harbour village of Clovelly. AA 4-Star rated, the inn has a well-stocked bar, excellent food and 11 guest rooms, and is situated just a stone’s throw from the beach, SW Coast Path and Lifeboat Station. Free parking is available.

The bedrooms are in the main building or the Sail Loft next door. All are individual, with some offering harbour views and a private balcony. There are double, twin, family rooms, a room with improved access and en suite wet room, and dog-friendly rooms. All have en suite facilities, TV, Wifi, telephone, hairdryer and refreshment tray.

Our breakfast will set you up for the day ahead and the restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, serving a range of locally-caught seafood, game from the fells of Exmoor and seasonal produce from the gardens on the Clovelly Estate. The Harbour Bar and Snug bar offers a wonderful place to relax with a local ale or two.
