George Hotel

The George Inn is ideally located for a seaside getaway in popular Braunton, just 3 miles from the nearest beach at Saunton. Croyde and Woolacombe are also nearby and we welcome walkers and cyclists on the South West Coastal Path or Tarka Trail. The Inn was refurbished in 2020 courtesy of owners the David family, and features 5 en-suite bedrooms, alongside a bar and restaurant. The George is dog friendly.

The guest bedrooms are each named after local beaches and are accessed from a separate entrance away from the main pub. All have attractive décor and are well-equipped with a comfortable king size double bed, en suite facilities, LED TV, free Wifi and hospitality tray. There are room-only, bed and breakfast or half board rates available.

Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. All dishes are home-made, with a varied selection to cater for all tastes, including British, American and Mexican inspired cuisine and a special menu for children. Our bar serves a wide range of drinks, from real ales to cocktails and shows BT Sports on the TV screens. There is on-site car parking and regular buses to Barnstable and Ilfracombe stop outside.
