Sheriff Lodge

Sheriff Lodge is an elegant 18th century residence offering excellent bed and breakfast accommodation in Matlock, with scenic views across the Derwent Valley. Nestled in a quiet residential setting, yet only a short walk from the shops, eateries, pubs and river, it provides a welcoming and convenient place to stay. Dogs are allowed with prior agreement.

All 5 bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, with original artwork by the artist Will Elliston displayed on the walls. Each room has en suite facilities, a TV with Netflix, hospitality tray and a few extra touches to make you feel at home. There are double rooms with super king size beds, a twin room and The Warren for 3 or 4 guests with its own entrance from the garden.

After a sound night’s sleep, a wonderful full cooked Derbyshire or continental breakfast is served in the morning, made from local ingredients and including our own homemade bread. Guests can also relax in the Drawing Room or out in the garden during their visit. There is car parking and bicycle storage available, and the railway station is a short walk away.
